Two Innocent Civilians Injured After Explosion Device Planted by Pro-Terrorism KNU Members and So-called PDF Terrorists in Shwegyin Township of Bago Region

    In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 9 May 2025 at 10:00 PM, a report stated that a man and a woman with shrapnel injuries were admitted to the Township Public Hospital in Shwegyin Township of Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, they discovered that the victims were identified as U Than Zaw Lin (aka) U Than Lin Aung (41 years old) and his wife, Daw Tuu (58 years old), both residents of Shan Khay Ward in Shwegyin Town. The incident occurred while they were returning to Shwegyin Town from Salu Chaung Village in a (License Plate No. MDY 4I-XXXX) Ford Double Cab vehicle along the Shwegyin – Don Zayit – Kwin Seik Road. Upon reaching Seik Ka Lay Village, the vehicle triggered an explosive device planted by a faction of pro-terrorism KNU members in collaboration with so-called PDF terrorists. The device exploded, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.
    It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
