Two Innocent Civilians Shot Dead by KNU and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Waw Township of Bago Region

   The terrorist groups, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorist group known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing, and killing loyal government employees who are dutifully performing their duties, monks, and innocent local residents.

   Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 15 January 2026 at 11:00 AM, U Phoe Zaw (57 years old) and U Toe Win(64 years old), both residents of Set Su Village in Waw Township of Bago Region, were travelling on a motorcycle to Kwin Seik Village in Shwegyin Township. When they reached the vicinity of Thu Ye Thu Mein Village in Waw Township, a combined group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists opened fire on them. As a result, both men died on the spot, it is reported.

   According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
