In Certain Townships, Innocent Civilians Killed and Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosions Planted by Terrorists Madaya and Thabeikkyin Townships

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 7 April 2026 at 1:20 PM, a report stated that the body of a man with shrapnel injuries and  another man with shrapnel injuries were brought Madaya Township Public Hospital in Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, it was found that at 9:00 AM, on the same day, while Mg Win Thaw Maung (14 years old) and Mg Chan Myae Zaw (16 years old), both residents of Tha Ngar Village in Madaya Township, were cutting a banana branch in a banana plantation near the village, they stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists. As a result, Mg Win Thaw Maung died on the spot, while Mg Chan Myae Zaw sustained shrapnel injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 5:00 PM, on the same day, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Zaw Min (42 years old), a resident of Twin Nge Village in Thabeikkyin Township. According to the investigation, at 10:00 AM, on the same day, the victim was walking to Shar Taw Village. When he reached an area about a half miles south of Shar Taw Village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
