Innocent Civilian Injured in Landmine Explosion Planted by KIA Insurgents and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Machanbaw Township of Kachin State

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 8 March 2026 at 5:50 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Putao District Public Hospital in Kachin State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Ko Chan Tan Khin Vay (28 years old), a resident of Doat Tan Ward in Putao Township. According to the investigation, at 9:00 AM, on the same day, while the victim was heading to the Shan Kha Yay creek near In Yone Gar Village in Machanbaw Township, he triggered a landmine planted by a combined group of KIA insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists near the creek, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
