Innocent Civilian Killed in Reckless Shooting by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Thayetchaung Township of Tanintharyi Region

     The terrorist groups, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorists known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing and killing government servants, monks and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 9 March 2026 at 8:10 AM, while U Khin Oo (47 years old), a resident of Kyauk Myaung Ward in Thayetchaung Township of Tanintharyi Region, was in front of a monastery in the ward, he sustained gunshot wounds from reckless firing by so-called PDF terrorists. As a result, U Khin Oo died on the spot, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
