Innocent Civilians, Including Child, Injured After Stepping on Improvised Explosive Devices Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Naungcho and Kyaukme Townships

In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 18 February 2026 at 4:10 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Naungcho Township Public Hospital in Shan State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Aung Naing Win (37 years old), a resident of Yar Pyin Village in Naungcho Township. According to the investigation, at 9:00 AM, on the same day, while the victim was working in a sugarcane plantation near the village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 4:45 PM, on the same day, a report stated that five men with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Naungcho Township Public Hospital in Shan State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victims were identified as U Lwin Moe Oo (32 years old), Ko Tutpi (aka) Bo Bo Tun (26 years old), U Kyaw Lwin Oo (34 years old), U Kyaw San Win (32 years old) and Mg Thiha Aung (16 years old), all residents of Naung Lin Village in Naungcho Township. According to the investigation, at 4:15 PM, while the victims were working in a plantation field near the village, U Lwin Moe Oo stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 6:00 PM, on the same day, a report stated that a man and a child with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Kyaukme District Public Hospital. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victims were identified as U Sai San Nyunt (32 years old) and his daughter, Ma Nan Pan Ei Ngin (two years old), both residents of Man San Village in Kyaukme Township. According to the investigation, at 5:00 PM, while U Sai San Nyunt was working in an upland plantation field west of his house along with his daughter, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
