Innocent Civilians Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosions Planted by Terrorists in Bilin, Naungcho and Sagaing Townships

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 15 March 2026 at 12:40 PM, a report stated that two men with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Thaton District Public Hospital in Mon State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victims were identified as Ko Thant Zaw Oo (25 years old) and Ko Kan Htoo (22 years old), both residents of Nat Gyi Village in Bilin Township. According to the investigation, at 8:30 AM, on the same day, while the victims were working within a yard in the village, they stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 15 March 2026 at 2:40 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Naungcho Township Public Hospital in Shan State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Ko Yan Myo Aung (23 years old), a resident of Nyan Taw Village in Naungcho Township. According to the investigation, at 2:00 PM, on the same day, while the victim was working in a sugarcane plantation field near Naung Lin Village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by the TNLA terrorist group, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 15 March 2026 at 5:10 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Naing Tun (45 years old), a resident of Min Kon Village in Sagaing Region. According to the investigation, the victim was travelling by motorcycle to Ywar Thar Yar Village. At 12:00 PM, on the same day, while he reached an area about two miles southwest of Min Kon Village, an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists exploded on the roadside, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
