Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 12 March 2026 at 7:15 AM, a report stated that two men and a woman with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Dawei Public Hospital in Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victims were identified as U Lwin (63 years old), U Thiha Kyaw (aka) Ja Mee (30 years old)and Ma Su Myat Thu (24 years old), all residents of Sone Sin Village in Thayetchaung Township. According to the investigation, on 11 March 2026 at 3:30 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group fired heavy weapons into the village. The shells exploded within the village, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, on 12 March 2026 at 6:00 PM, a combined group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists conducted a drone attack by dropping bombs on Kan Ka Lay Village in Nyaunglebin Township of Bago Region. The bombs exploded within the compound of the Dhamma Parla Monastery in the village. As a result, a monk, Thaw Bana (73 years old) with (53 year) in monkhood, sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to Pain Za Lote Station Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Likewise, on 12 March 2026 at 6:15 PM, a report stated that a woman with gunshot wounds was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Wai Wai Mar (40 years old), a resident of Aye Mya Thar Yar Ward in Pharkant Township of Kachin State. According to the investigation, on 7 March 2026 at 4:30 PM, when the victim was at her house, she sustained gunshot wounds reckless fired by KIA insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in her injuries, it is reported.
According to the above-mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incidents, it is reported.
