Innocent Civilian Injured After Stepping Land Mine Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Pauk Township of Magway Region

    In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 28 July 2025 at 7:00 AM, U Aung Kyi Htway, Daw Htay Ngwe and their son Mg Aung Myo Thant (14 years old), all residents of Dee Doak Kwin Village in Pauk Township of Magway Region, were heading to a field approximately 1000 meters south of their village. When they reached an area near the filed, Mg Aung Myo Thant accidentally stepped on a land mine planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group. The mine exploded, and Mg Aung Myo Thant sustained shrapnel injuries. Fortunately, U Aung Kyi Htway and Daw Htay Ngwe were unharmed. Mg Aung Myo Thant is currently receiving medical treatment in the village, it is reported.
    It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
