Two Innocent Civilians Injured After Stepping on Improvised Explosive Device Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Kambalu Township of Sagaing Region

    In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 23 February 2026 at 12:45 PM, a report stated that two men with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Kambalu Township Public Hospital in Sagaing Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victims were identified as U Kyaw Zin Lin (37 years old) and his son,  Mg Lin Lat Tun (14 years old), both residents of Dan Pin Village in Kambalu Township. According to the investigation, at 8:00 AM, on the same day, while the victims were collecting firewood in a forest between Dan Pin Village and Bo Tal Kone Village, they stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
