In Some Townships, Armed Terrorists Wantonly Kill Administrative Officials, Government Employees and Civilians who live peacefully

      In some townships of States and Regions, armed terrorists, based on the one-sided ideology of extremism ‘Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy’, are committing violent attacks and assassinations by using knives, guns, grenades, home-made mines and IEDs against non-CDM staff after forcibly pressuring civil service personnel who are loyal to the State to join CDM as well as others who do not support their terrorist acts after accusing them of “Spy/ Informer/ Decoy (Dalan)” to make administrative officials, government employees and civilians who live peacefully, very frightened.
      Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 22 May at 03:00 AM, according to the report that a man and a woman were dead by gunfire beside the Yangon-Mawlamyine Road located in Phalatwutgyi Village of Paung Township, Mon State, security personnel went to the scene to inspect. The investigation found that U Myint Lwin, 49 years old, (Father) U Maung Lone, and his wife Daw Khin Thida Tun, 47 years old, (Father) U Myint Aye, who both lived in Kyawlchan Village, were riding a motorcycle back home from Zinkyaik Town. When they arrived at the scene, an armed insurgent group and a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number - under scrutiny) opened fire on them. As a result, U Myint Lwin and Daw Khin Thida Tun were dead from gunshot injuries. Additionally, nine shells of 9mm bullet were found and seized near the scene, it is reported.
      Similarly, at 06:30 AM, according to the report that a man was dead gunfire in Nyaungnipin Village of Paunde Township, Bago Region, security personnel went to the scene to inspect. The investigation found that 100-hosuehold Administrator U Than Naing (aka) Naing Gyi, 53 years old, (Father) U Maung Pu, who lived in this village, was preparing for an alms food offering ceremony to monks on the seventh day of his brother-in-law demise at the house of his father-in-law U Than Nyunt, 78 years old, (Father) U Thein Mern, when three so-called PDF terrorists arrived on two motorcycles and opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result, U Than Naing (aka) Naing Gyi was dead from gunshot injuries. Additionally, a round of 5.56 bullet, two shells of 9mm bullet and seven shells of 5.56 bullet were found and seized near the scene, it is reported.
      Similarly, at 10:15 AM, according to the report that a man was dead and two others sustained injuries by gunfire at the corner of Ngwezinyaw street and Sagaphyu (1) street in No. (88) Ward of Dagonmyothit (Seikkan) Township, Yangon Region, security personnel went to the scene to inspect. The investigation found that Ward Administrator U Zaw Lwin (aka) Bo Tauk, 51 years old (Father) U Hla Myint, Ko Zin Ko Paing (aka) Ko Ko, 22 years old (Father) U Kyi Shwin and Ko Hla Tun (aka) Kalar Lay, 21 years old and (Father) U Yarju, who all live in this Ward, were returning on three motorcycles from a monastery located in Khineshwewar street. When they arrived at the scene, five male terrorists (under scrutiny) opened fire on them before fleeing. As a result, U Zaw Lwin (aka) Bo Tauk, Ko Zin Ko Paing and Ko Hla Tun sustained gunshot injuries. While they were being transported to a military hospital for medical treatment, Ko Zin Ko Paing (aka) Ko Ko died from his injuries. Additionally, 18 shells of 9mm bullet were found and seized near the scene, it is reported.
      Similarly, at 03:00 PM, according to the report that a man was injured by gunfire in front of the “Win” Computer Shop located on Mawoneaut Street (locally known as), Mawone Ward of Phakant Township, security personnel went to the scene to inspect. The investigation found that U Zaw Lwin Htoo, 51 years old, (Father) U Tin Sein, who lives in this Ward, was leaving his house alone to purchase betel nut from a betel nut shop along Mawoneaut street. When he arrived at the scene, two male terrorists (under scrutiny), who had been following him on a motorcycle, opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result, U Zaw Lwin Htoo sustained gunshot injuries and was transported to the Phankant Township Public hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
      Similarly, at 03:00 PM, according to the report that a man and a woman were dead by gunfire in Innchaung Village of Natogyi Township, Mandalay Region, security personnel went to the scene to inspect. The investigation found that 100-household Administrator U Khin Maung Than, 56 years old, (Father) U Tin Aung, who lived in this Village, was preparing to take a shower in his house, when approximately 10 so-called PDF terrorists arrived on five motorcycles and opened fire on him. Furthermore, Daw Mhat Tin, 65 years old, (Father) U San Tin, who lived in this Village, was returning to her house from a donation ceremony that had taken place in a house in the Village. When she arrived at the orbit road of the village, the terrorists opened fire on her. As a result, both U Khin Maung Than and Daw Mhat Tin were dead from gunshot injuries at the scene, it is reported.
      Security Force Members are continuing necessary actions to identify and arrest those terrorists who committed wantonly killings and assassinations against administrative officials, government employees and civilians who live peacefully in the abovementioned cases based on the one-sided ideology of extremism ‘Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy’, it is reported.
