Innocent Civilian Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by Armed Terrorists in Htantabin Township of Bago Region

     Terrorists committing terrorist activities have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 14 March 2025 at 11:20 AM, a report stated that a man was with shrapnel injuries was admitted to the Taungoo Township Public Hospital of Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Nyunt Win (53 years old), a resident of Ah Nout Myaun Village in Htantabin Township. The incident occurred when a faction of KNU members supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists fired heavy weapons into the victim’s village. One of the heavy weapon shells exploded within the village, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are injured or killed. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
