Innocent Civilian Abducted by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Oaktwin Township of Bago Region

    Terrorist groups have been engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs and improvised explosive devices across towns and villages in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities including abducting and extorting money from civil servants families, local civilians and students, as well as killings.
    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on  26 May 2025 at 10:00 AM, U Zaw Min (40 years old), a resident of Zee Phyu Thaung (Ah-Htet) Village in Oaktwin Township of Bago Region and chairman of the Village Lighting Committee, was working as a mason at the house of Ko Htike (35 years old), from the same village. At that time, three armed members of the so-called PDF terrorist group arrived and abducted U Zaw Min. The terrorists then took him toward an area along the riverside of the Sittaung River, located approximately four furlongs east of the village, it is reported.
    In response to the incident, security personnel are conducting ongoing operations in line with standard procedures to ensure the prompt rescue of the abducted individual and to bring the perpetrators to justice, it is reported.
