Child Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorist in Gyobingauk Township of Bago Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 7 January 2026 at 5:45 PM, a report stated that a child with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Ah Lal Kone Station Hospital in Gyobingauk Township of Bago Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Mg Swan Htet Paing (five years old), a resident of Yone Chaung Village in Gyobingauk Township. According to the investigation, the victim was in front of his house, a heavy weapon shell fired by so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
