So-Called PDF Terrorists Loot School Textbooks in Yesagyo Township Magway Region to Sabotage Education Sector

     The government is opening Basic Education Schools, Degree Colleges and Universities to provide education for the younger generation. However, terrorist groups are attempting to disrupt the education sector by looting school textbooks and hindering the opening and functioning of schools. 
    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 16 May at 2:30 PM, the passenger vehicle “Chindwin Ayeyar” (License Plate No. 7M/XXXX), driven by U Than Soe (41 years old), a resident of Kyaw Ma Kyar Village in Yesagyo Township of Magway Region and accompanied by U Pho Ye (30 years old), a resident of Lay Yar Pyae Village, was en route to the Yesagyo Township Educational Office’s. The vehicle was transporting 36 bags of school textbooks from the Pakokku District Educational Officer’s and 39 bags from No (17) Basic Education Post Primary School (Baho Si). Upon reaching Kan Thit Village, approximately eight so-called PDF terrorists intercepted the vehicle, forced it to stop near Myit Hla Chaung Village and looted the following textbooks, 13 bags containing 1,560 Grade-7 English textbooks, 15 bags containing 1,500 Grade-7 Geography textbooks, 16 bags containing 1,654 Grade-7 Science textbooks, 9 bags containing 854 Grade-1 Myanmar textbooks, 6 bags containing 854 Grade-1 English textbooks, 9 bags containing 876 Grade-1 Mathematics textbooks; 3 bags containing 790 Grade-1 Science textbooks, 4 bags containing 684 Grade-1 Moral & Civics textbooks. After looting the textbooks, the terrorists released the two individuals along with their vehicle, it is reported.
    It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
