Child Killed in Heavy Weapon Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Myaing Township of Magway Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 31 January 2026 at 7:00 PM, a report stated that a child with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. However, the child died from his injuries while receiving treatment. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Mg Pyae Sone Hein (11 years old) and a resident of Nhet Pyaw Twin Village in Myaing Township of Magway Region. According to the investigation, at 13:30 PM, on the same day, a heavy weapon shell fired by so-called PDF terrorists exploded near the village, resulting in his death, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
