Two Innocent Civilians Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosions Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Pwintphyu and Madaya Townships

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 31 March 2026 at 1:00 PM, a report state that a child with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Pwintphyu Township Public Hospital in Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as Ma Hnin Htet Htet Hlaing (12 years old), a resident of Lal Ma Village in Pwintphyu Township. According to the investigation, at 6:00 AM, on the same day, while the victim was heading to a forest about one mile north of the village with her family to cut bamboo, she stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, which exploded near the forest and caused her injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 4:05 PM, on the same day, a report state that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Thet Naing Win (30 years old), a resident of Pwal Tie Kyaw Village in Madaya Township. According to the investigation, at 2:30 PM, while the victim was cleaning bushes near a lake about one mile south of the village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
