Innocent Civilian Killed in Heavy Weapon Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Madaya Township of Mandalay Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear. They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 12 August 2025 at 9:05 PM, a report stated that a woman with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Madaya Township Public Hospital in Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Aye (50 years old), a resident of Kan Phyu Village in Madaya Township. When the victim was at her house, a heavy weapon shell fired by a so-called PDF terrorist group exploded nearby. As a result, the victim sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. However, the victim succumbed to her injuries while receiving medical treatment, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
