In Certain Townships, Two Innocent Civilians Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosions Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorists

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 15 May 2026 at 10:45 AM, a report stated that a woman with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Kambalu Township Public Hospital in Sagaing Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Pyone Kyi (44 years old), a resident of Nat Inn Village in Kambalu Township. According to the investigation, at 9:00 AM, on the same day, while the victim was farming in a ground peanut plantation field, she stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in her injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 1:30 PM, on the same day, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Kyauktaga Township Public Hospital in Bago Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as Mg Nan Ki Soe (18 years old), a resident of Ah Lan Taing Village inKyauktaga Township. According to the investigation, at 1:00 PM, on the same day, while the victim was herding buffalos at a field near Nat Sin Village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by a combined group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
