Innocent Civilian Abducted Along with Side-Car Motorcycle by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Tanintharyi Township of Tanintharyi Region

     Terrorists have been engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs and improvised explosive devices across towns and villages in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities-including abducting and extorting money from local civilians as well as killings.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 28 January 2026 at 6:00 PM, U Nyi Nyi Min (aka) Maung Nge (40 years old), a resident of Chaung Gyi Ward in Tanintharyi Township of Taninthrayi Region, was travelling by side-car motorcycle to Lal Taung Yar Village. When he reached an area near the village, group of 10 so-called PDF terrorists forced him to stop and abducted him along with his motorcycle, it is reported.

     Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.
