The Myanmar National Human Rights Commission inspects Hnetawsan Boy’s Training School

   The inspection team, led by U Kyaw Soe and U Than Win, Commissioners of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission (MNHRC), conducted an inspection visit to the Hnetawsan Boy’s Training School in Kawhmu Township, Twantay District, Yangon Region on 20 May, 2025 according to Section 43 and Section 44 of MNHRC Law.

   The inspection team inspected the situation of fundamental rights of the boys who are detained in the center including healthcare services, food supply, provision of purified drinking water, adequate dormitories, availability of Citizenship Scrutiny Card, Supporting programmes for physical and mental development as well as right to education, vocational trainings, communication with their families, reintegration with their families and freedom of religion. The MNHRC also donated general knowledge books for the boys.

   MNHRC inspection team will send its findings and recommendations to the relevant department in accordance with the MNHRC law for necessary actions.
