Innocent Civilian Shot Dead by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Taungtwingyi Township of Magway Region

    The terrorist groups, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorist group known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing and killing loyal government employees who are dutifully performing their duties, monks and innocent local residents.

    Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 17 January 2026 at 11:00 AM, while U Soe Naing (54 years old), a resident of Thit Khot Kwin Village in Taungtwingyi Township of Magway Region, was at a plantation field about one mile northwest of the village, three so-called PDF terrorists arriving by two motorcycles, opened fire on him. As a result, U Soe Naing died on the spot, it is reported.

    According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilian by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
