Innocent Civilian Injured in Small-Arm Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Launglone Township of Tanintharyi Region

An innocent civilian injured in a small-arm attack by so-called PDF terrorists  in Launglon Township of Tanintharyi Region.


     The terrorist groups, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorists known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing and killing government servants, monks and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 17 March 2026 at 9:20 AM, a report stated that a man with gunshot wounds was admitted to Dawei Township Public Hospital in Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to couduct further investigation, the victim was identified as Mg Min Htet Ko (19 years old), a resident of Wai De Village in Launglon Township. According to the investigation, on 16 March 2026 at 10:00 PM, the victim was returning home on his motorcycle along the Inn Zauk- Wai De Village road. When he reached an area near his village, approximately 10 individuals, described as so-called PDF terrorists, opened fire on him with small arms, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
