So-Called PDF Terrorists Rob Municipal Vehicle in Mahlaing Township of Mandalay Region

    Armed terrorist groups are committing acts of violence in towns and villages across various regions and states. These acts include the arrest and extortion of civil servants and innocent civilians living peacefully, as well as the murder of these individuals. The groups also use weapons to threaten and rob people of their valuable possessions, including cars and motorcycles.

    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 22 May 2026 at 5:15 PM, Ko Pyae Phyo Hein (30 years old), a driver from the Mahlaing Township Municipal Department and a resident of No. 2 Ward in Mahlaing Township of Mandalay Region, was driving a six-wheel Sino truck vehicle bearing license plate No. 2Q-XXXXX, owned by the Township Municipal Department, to transport trash to a disposal area located four furlongs west of No. 3 Ward. At the time, four so-called PDF terrorists arrived, forced the driver to get off the vehicle, and robbed the truck, it is reported. 

    Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.
