Innocent Civilian Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Launglon Township of Tanintharyi Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear. They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 30 July 2025 at 11:25 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to the Dawei Township Public Hospital of Tanintharyi Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U San Oo (67 years old), a resident of Pan Dat Inn Village in Launglon Township. The incident had occurred on 29 July at 6:00 PM, while the victim was his house, a heavy weapon shell, reportedly fired by so-called PDF terrorist group, exploded nearby. As a result, the victim sustained shrapnel injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
