Two Innocent Civilians Injured in Heavy Weapon Attacks by Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) Terrorist Group in Naungcho Township of Shan State

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear. They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 29 July 2025 at 2:30 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to the Pyin Oo Lwin Township Public Hospital of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Myo Myint Aung (40 years old), a resident of Nant Saung Hu Village in Naungcho Township of Shan State. The incident had occurred 10:00 AM, on the same day while the victim was farming at a maize plantation located south of his village, a heavy weapon shell, reportedly fired by Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) terrorist group, exploded nearby. As a result, the victim sustained shrapnel injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 3:15 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to the Pyin Oo Lwin Township Public Hospital of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Kyaw Win (50 years old), a resident of Lon Wal Village in Naungcho Township of Shan State. The incident had occurred 11:30 AM, on the same day while the victim was at his house, a heavy weapon shell, reportedly fired by Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) terrorist group, exploded nearby. As a result, the victim sustained shrapnel injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
