In Certain Townships, Innocent Civilians Injured in Heavy Weapon and Drone Bomb Attacks by So-Called PDF Terrorists

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 14 April 2026 at 3:30 PM, on the same day, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Phyo Thant Zin (30 years old), a resident of Myauk Ward in Myaung Township of Sagaing Region. According to the investigation, on 29 March 2026 at 5:00 PM, while the victim was at his elder sister house in Myothit Ward, a heave weapon shell fired by so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 15 April 2026 at 2:30 PM, a report stated that a man and a woman with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victims were identified as U Maung Maung Win (33 years old) and Daw Yin Yin Htay (32 years old), both residents of Ywar Taw Village in Shwebo Township of Sagaing Region. According to the investigation, on 14 April 2026 at 1:30 PM, the victims were returning homes from Shwebo Town after shopping. When they reached an area near Oak Shik Kan Village, a bomb dropped by a drone operated by so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 2:40 PM, so-called PDF terrorists conducted a drone attack by dropping bombs on Byaw Taw Wa Ward in Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region. The bombs exploded within the ward. As a result, U Min Min Soe (44 years old), his sons, Mg Kaung Nyan Zwal (10 years old) and Mg Swan Yi Min (two years old), who were at the incident at the time, sustained shrapnel injuries. They were transported to Dawei Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incidents, it is reported.
