Innocent Civilian Injured in Attack by KNU and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Phyu Township of Bago Region

     The terrorist groups, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorists known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing and killing government servants, monks and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 27 February 2026 at 11:30 AM, a report stated that a man with gunshot wounds was admitted to Taw Kwyal Inn Station Hospital in Kyauktaga Township of Bago Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Nay Aung (38 years old), a resident of Naw Khin Village in Phyu Township. According to the investigation, at 10:30 AM, on the same day, the victim was walking to Ka Nyunt Kwin Town, a combined group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists opened fire on him near Nyaung Chay Htauk Village, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
