Innocent Civilians Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosions Planted by Arakan Army (AA) Terrorists and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Pwintphyu and Laymyethna Townships

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 27 February 2026 at 3:10 PM, a report stated that a woman with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Pwintphyu Township Public Hospital in Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Zin Mar Oo (38 years old), a resident of Thar Ga Ya Village in Pwintphyu Township. According to the investigation, at 5:30 AM, on the same day, while the victim was travelling by motorcycle to Than Bo Village, an imporvised explosive device planted near Than Bo Village by so-called PDF terrorists exploded on the roadside, resulting in her injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 4:05 PM, on the same day, a report stated that two men with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Laymyethna Township Public Hospital in Ayeyarwady Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victims were identified as U Khin Maung Win (60 years old) and his nephew, Mg San Htet Aung (18 years old), both residents of San Gyi Village in Laymyethna Township. According to the investigation, at 2:30 PM, while the victims were herding cows in a field near the village, they stepped on a landmine planted by a combined group of Arakan Army (AA) terrorists and so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
