Innocent Civilians Killed and Injured in Heavy and Small-Arm Attacks by KNU and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Bilin and Minhla Townships

     The terrorist groups, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorist groups known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing and killing government servants, monks, and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 14 March 2026 at 5:45 AM, TOYOTA LANDCRUISER vehicle driven by Ko Naing Ye Mi (27 years old), a resident of Natmauk Ward in Tamwe Township of Yangon Region, accompanied by U Tin Zaw Oo (51 years old), a resident of No 4 Ward in Myawaddy Township of Kayin State, was travelling from Bilin Town to Mawlamyine Town. on the same day, when the vehicle reached an area between mileposts 127/2 and 127/3 of the Yangon-Mawlamyine Road near Dauk Yat Village in Bilin Township, a combined group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists attacked the vehicle from the roadside using a 40 mm grenade launcher and small-arms. As a result, both men sustained shrapnel and gunshot wounds. They are currently receiving medical treatment at Bilin Township Public Hospital, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 7:20 AM, on the same day, while U Ye Tun (47 years old) and his son Mg Ye Htet Kyaw (eight years old)  both residents of Phayar Kwin Village in Minhla Township of Bago Region, were at their house, five individuals from KNU terrorist group and so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on them. As a result, U Ye Tun died on the spot, while Mg Ye Htet Kyaw sustained gunshot wounds. The boy was transported to Minhla Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incidents, it is reported.
