People’s Militia Member Killed and Innocent Civilian Injured in Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Ywarngan Township of Shan State

     The terrorists, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorists known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing and killing government servants, monks and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 17 February 2026 at 3:15 PM,  U Si Thu Aung (33 years old), a member of the People’s Militia Unit, Ko Ye Thway (22 years old), Ko Phoe Nay Shine (30 years old), all residents of Myin Khya Doe Village in Ywarngan Township of Shan State, were travelling by car from Ywarngan Town to Myin Khya Doe Village. When the vehicle reached an area between mileposts 63/1 and 63/2 on the Ywarngan-Aungban road, so-called PDF terrorists opened fire on the vehicle using small-arms. As a result of the attack, U Si Thu Aung died on the spot, while Ko Ye Thway sustained gunshot wounds. Fortunately, Ko Phoe Nay Shine was not injured. The injured person was transported to No 2 Military Hospital (700-bedded) in Aungban Town for medical treatment, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
