The Myanmar National Human Rights Commission inspected Mother's Love Aging Home

   An inspection team led by U Kyaw Soe and Dr. Than Myint, members of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, conducted an inspection visit to Mother's Love Aging Home in Hlegu Township, Yangon region, on 6 February 2026. During the visit, the inspection team examined whether the elderly are accepted in accordance with the rules and regulations of the facility. The team inspected the conditions of the provision of healthcare services, food and nutrition supplement, clean drinking water and household water, freedom of religion, and the overall hygiene and sanitation of dormitories, bathrooms, toilets, and kitchens. The team also inquired about arrangements to ensure barrier-free movements in the buildings, and arrangements for recreation and relaxation for the elderly, the accessibility of the National Secrutiny Card for the elderly, the availability of social pension support, and the accessibility of pension payments for eligible residents, as well as the measures taken for meeting with family members and friends.

   The inspection team will send its findings and recommendations to the relevant department in accordance with the Commission’s law for necessary action.
