Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 4 June 2026 at 6:30 PM, a report stated that two women with shrapnel injuries had been admitted to Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victims were identified as Daw Thet Thet San (57 years old), and her daughter, Ma Nway Hling Eakari Oo (28 years old), both residents of Pyin Sa Thi Maw Village in Launglon Township. According to the investigation, the victims were travelling by motorcycle from Dawei Town to Launglon Town along the Dawei-Launglon Road. When they reached an area near Ka Myaw Gyi Village, a heavy weapon shell fired by so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.
According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
