Two Innocent Civilians Shot Dead by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Taungwingyi and Myeik Townships

     The terrorist groups, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorists known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing and killing government servants, monks and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 10 March 2026 at 5:30 AM, while U Aung Myo Tun (40 years old), a resident of Si Thar Gyi Village in Taungdwingyi Township of Magway Region, was farming in a pea plantation field about one mile east of the village, two so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on him, accusing him of being a “Decoy”. As a result, U Aung Myo Tun died on the spot, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 8:20 AM, on the same day, a report stated that a man shot dead in Tat Taung Village in Myeik Township of Tanintharyi Region. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Ye Naing (42 years old), a resident of the village. According to the investigation, on 9 March 2026 at 8:00 AM, while the victim was at his house, so-called PDF terrorists arrived at the village and abducted the victim. The terrorists then took him to the village main road, where they opened fire on him. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incidents, it is reported.
