Man Killed, Another Injured in Attack by KNU and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Myawaddy Township of Kayin State

   In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.

   Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 21 November 2025 at 2:30 PM, a report stated that a deceased man and an injured man with gunshot wounds were brought to Myawaddy Township Public Hospital in Kayin State. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, they found that at 12:30 PM, on the same day, a 12-wheeled truck with license plate No. 5H-XXXX FUSO, driven by Ko Han Lin Zaw (21 years old), a resident of No. 4 Ward in Myawaddy Township, was travelling with U Thura Aung (32 years old) and U Shine Ko (33 years old). The truck had departed from Min Lat Pan Village and was heading to Myawaddy Town along the Myadaddy-Waw Lay road. When the truck reached the outskirts of the village, a combined group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists opened fire on it using small arms. As a result, Ko Han Lin Zaw died on the spot, while U Thura Aung sustained gunshot wounds. Fortunately, U Shine Ko was not harmed, it is reported.

   Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.
