Innocent Civilian Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Yebyu Township of Tanintharyi Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear. They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 13 August 2025 at 7:30 PM, a report stated that a woman with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Ye Township Public Hospital in Yan Gyi Aung Ward of Mon State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Myat Shwe (52 years old), a resident of Mile (60) Village in Yebyu Township of Tanintharyi Region. The incident occurred while the victim was walking along the Yebyu–Daewi Road located west of village, two heavy weapon shells fired by a so-called PDF terrorist group exploded nearby, resulting in her injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
