Village Tract Administrator, People’s Militia Leader, and 100-Household Elder Abducted Along with Vehicle by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Kawthoung Township of Tanintharyi Region

     Terrorist groups have been engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs and improvised explosive devices across towns and villages in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities including abducting and extorting money from local civilians, as well as killings.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 14 October 2025 at 6:30 AM, U Win Myint (43 years old), Village Tract Administrator and U Aye Soe (aka) Gaung Phyu (77 years old), head of village militia unit, both residents of Lone Phaw Village in Kawthoung Township of Tanintharyi Region, were at the village’s religious community hall. At that time, approximately 40 so-called PDF terrorists arriving by a car and abducted them using a black-colored Toyota Hilux Vigo vehicle owned by U Win Myint. The terrorists then took them toward Lone Phaw Gyi Village. When the terrorists reached the entrance of Aye Chan Thar Village, they found U Thet Oo (55 years old), a 100-household elder and resident of the village and also abducted him, it is reported.

     Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend, and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.
