Innocent Civilian Injured After Stepping on Landmine Planted by KNU and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Htantabin Township of Bago Region

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, streets, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 27 October 2025 at 11:30 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Za Yat Gyi Station Hospital in Htantabin Township of Bago Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Zin Min Wai (30 years old), a resident of Thet Kal Kone Village in Htantabin Township.  The victim was on the way to Za Yat Gyi Village travelling by motorcycle together with his elder brother, U Ye Lin Aung (32 years old). At 9:00 AM, on the same day, when they reached an area about four furlongs north to Thet Kal Kone Village, they stopped the motorcycle and U Zin Min Wai went to a water well located about 20 yards to the right side of the roadside to clean his foot. He accidentally stepped on a landmine planted by a combined group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
