KNU and So-Called PDF Terrorists Attack with Improvised Rockets into Ward in Kyauktaga Township of Bago Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 12 January 2026 at 5:45 AM, a combined group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists fired an improvised rocket into Tabin Shwe Htee Ward in Kyauktaga Township of Bago Region. The rocket landed on the house of U Moe Naing (43 years old), a resident of the ward. The rocket did explode, but it damaged the house roof and no one was injured, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
