So-Called PDF Terrorist Group Threatens Innocent Civilian via Viber, Demanding Extortion Money in Thayet Township of Magway Region

   The terrorists are carrying out acts of intimidation, abduction, extortion, and assassination targeting administrative officials, civil servants from various departments, and innocent civilians. Their aim is to undermine national stability and peace, and to disrupt administrative mechanisms.

   Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 7 November 2025, around 5:00 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist sent extortion and threatening letter via a Viber account (phone number 09-767593398) to the Viber account of U Cho (58 years old), the owner of a petrol station and a resident of Ah Kyauk Thal Village in Thayet Township of Magway Region, it is reported.

   Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.
