Man Injured in Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Pakokku Township of Magway Region

   In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.

   Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 20 November 2025 at 3:30 PM, a report stated that a man with gunshot wounds was admitted to Pakokku Township Public Hospital in Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Ko Thar Kyaw (25 years old), a resident of Shar Taw Village in Pakokku Township. At 12:30 PM, on the same day, while the victim was fishing at a lake west of Kyun Nyo Gyi Village and about two miles northeast of his village, two so-called PDF terrorists arriving by motorcycle, opened fire on him and then fled, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

   Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.
