In Certain Townships, Government Servants and Innocent Civilians Abducted by So-Called PDF Terrorists

     Terrorist groups have been engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs, and improvised explosive devices across towns and villages in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities including abducting and extorting money from local civilians and also election commission members, as well as killings.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 8 January 2026 at 9:30 PM,  a resident of Khan Kone Village administrator U Htay Myint (54 years old) and in Minbu Township of Magway Region, was at his house, a group of 10 so-called PDF terrorists arriving by four motorcycles and a sidecar motorcycle, abducted him, it is reported.

      Similarly, on 9 January 2026 at 9:10 AM, a resident of Nyaung Ywar Nge Village U Nyi Nyi (60 years old) in Thayet Township, was at his house, two so-called PDF terrorists arriving by motorcycle and abducted him, accusing him of being a “decoy”, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 9:35 AM, a resident of Sin Phyu Kone Village U Than (71 years old), a sub-village in-charge and in Thayet Township, was at his house, seven so-called PDF terrorists arriving by three motorcycles and abducted him, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 3:45 PM, a primary teacher a resident of Daw Nyein Oo (49 years old) from No. 12 Basic Education Primary School in Chaung-U Township and of Sagaing Region, was at her house, a so-called PDF terrorist group arrived and abducted her, it is reported.    

     Regarding the above incidents, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.
