Innocent Civilian Killed in Improvised Rocket Attack by Terrorist Group in Kawkareik Township of Kayin State

     Terrorists committing inhumane acts have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the residential areas, including towns, wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 19 May 2025 at 1:10 PM, a terrorist group fired an improvised rocket into No.4 Ward in Kyon Doe Town, Kawkareik Township of Kayin State. The improvised rocket shell exploded within the ward. As a result, U Aung Thet Ko Oo (40 years old), a resident of the ward, died on the spot, it is reported.

     Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent people have been killed. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
