Innocent Civilian Shot Dead by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Kyauktaga Township, Bago Region

     In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
    Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 15 May 2025 at 5:00 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead near Kywal Ta Lin Village in Kyauktaga Township, Bago Region. When security personnel conducted further investigation, they discovered that the victim was identified as U Arkar (29 years old) a resident of Myoma (2) Ward in Pain Za Lote Town, Nyaunglebin Township. The incident occurred while he was traveling to Kywal Ta Lin Village on his sidecar motorcycle. When he reached entrance of the village, approximately 10 so-called PDF terrorists opened fire on him. As a result, U Arkar died on the spot, it is reported.
    Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.
