Mother and Baby Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Minhla Township, Bago Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings, and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear. They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives, and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 3 July 2025 at 10:20 PM, a report stated that a woman and a child with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Township Public Hospital in Minhla Township of Bago Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, they discovered the victims were identified as Daw Yi Yi Htay (36 years old) and her three-year-old daughter Ma Chit Khun Cho, both residents of Tha Yaw Kone Village in Minhla Township. The incident occurred when a so-called PDF terrorist group fired heavy weapons on the victims’ village. One of the shells exploded within the village, causing their injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
