Civil Servant, 100-Household Elder, and Innocent Civilian Abducted by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Pwintphyu Township of Magway Region

     Terrorist groups have been engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs and improvised explosive devices across towns and villages in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities including abducting and extorting money from local civilians as well as killings.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 26 April 2026 at 12:15 PM, while U Kyi Soe Win (34 years old), a lower clerk from the Pwinthyu Township General Administration Department U Thein Zaw (aka) Win Thein (45 years old), a 100-household elder and his wife, Daw Nwet Yi (47 years old), all residents of Ywar Thit Kone Village in Pwintphyu Township of Magway Region, were at their respective houses, a group of approximately 30 so-called PDF terrorists arrived and abducted them. Additionally, the terrorists robbed a vehicle bearing license plate No. 8H-XXXX SUPER CUSTOM, owned by the O-Htein Myay Charity organization in the village, it is reported.

     Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend, and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.
