In Certain Townships, Innocent Civilian Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosions Planted by Terrorists

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 23 May 2026 at 11:30 AM, while Daw Nan Khin Oo (43 years old), a resident of Ye Pu Village in Nyaung Shwe Township of Shan State, was farming in an upland plantation field, she stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists. As a result, she sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to San Kar Station Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 12:00 PM, on the same day, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries had been admitted to Minbu District Public Hospital in Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Hla Kyaing (40 years old), a resident of Kyun Pyar Village in Minbu Township. According to the investigation, at 8:30 PM, on the same day, while the victim was hunting in a forest about two and a half miles of west of the village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 8:15 PM, on the same day, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries had been admitted to Madaya Township Public Hospital in Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Min Min Soe (41 years old), a resident of Bo Kone Village in Madaya Township. According to the investigation, at 6:30 PM, on the same day, while the victim was at a field about one mile north of the village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
