In Certain Townships, Two Innocent Civilians Injured in Heavy Weapon Attacks by So-Called PDF Terrorists

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 18 April 2026 at 1:30 PM, a report stated that a woman with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Kyi Than (63 years old), a resident of Koe Shin Kyun Village in Monywa Township of Sagaing Region. According to the investigation, on 15 April 2026 at 1:30 PM, while the victim was at her house, a heavy weapon shell fired by so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in her injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 1:30 PM, on the same day, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Kyaw Win (63 years old), resident of Hta Naung Kyin Village in Mahlaing Township. According to the investigation, on 8 April 2026 at 2:00 PM, the victim was travelling by motorcycle to Mahlaing Town for shopping. When he reached an area near Nyaung Kone Village, a heavy weapon shell fired by so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incidents, it is reported.
