Innocent Civilian Abducted and Shot Dead by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Thayet Township of Magway Region

    The terrorist groups, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorist groups known as the so-called PDFs. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing and killing government servants, monks and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 30 January 2026 at 11:30 AM, a report stated that the body of woman with gunshot wounds was found an area near two furlongs east of Phaung Ka-I Village in Thayet Township of Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Yi Yi Win (62 years old), a resident of the village. According to the investigation, on 28 January 2026 at 6:30 PM, while the victim was at her house, so-called PDF terrorists arrived and abducted her. The terrorists then took her to the scene, where they opened fire on her. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.

    According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilian by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
