Innocent Civilian Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosion Planted by Terrorists in Shwegyin Township of Bago Region

      In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
      Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 19 May 2026 at 11:20 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Shwegyin Township Public Hospital in Bago Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Thein Htay (48 years old), a resident of Ta Yoke Tan + Nyaung Wine Ward in Shwegyin Township. According to the investigation, at 10:00 AM, on the same day, while the victim was travelling by motorcycle to Kyauk Tan Village, an improvised explosive device planted by a combined group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists exploded on the roadside near the village, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
      It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
